What is Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage)?

Medicare Part C is known as Medicare Advantage. Medicare Advantage plans cover and combine Original Medicare Part A and Part B benefits into one plan. When you sign up for a Medicare Advantage, you assign the management of your Original Medicare Part A & Part B over to a private insurance company. Typically you will find these plans providing benefits through a network such like an HMO, or PPO.
