Canyon View Park

Red Hills Desert Garden

Spanning over 180 acres of land, Canyon View Park is one of the most iconic parks in the city of Spanish Fork. Located in the heart of Spanish Fork, this expansive park offers plenty for visitors to do and explore. Whether looking for a peaceful nature escape or an adventure-filled day with the family, Canyon View Park is the perfect place to spend time outdoors. So let’s take a closer look at what this special park offers.

Canyon View Park features several amenities that make it great for outdoor activities year-round. There are two playgrounds, two fishing ponds, eight picnic sites with grills, a dog park, 5 miles of trails for hiking and biking, and plenty of open space for sports and recreation. The park also features several pavilions that can be rented out for special events like weddings or corporate picnics.

During the winter months, Canyon View Park transforms into an outdoor paradise. The frozen ponds become ice skating rinks, and the trails turn into cross-country ski paths. In addition, the Campground Pavilion is home to two significant warming huts where skaters can take a break from the cold weather and enjoy some hot cocoa or snacks before heading back out on the ice. For those who prefer snow sports without the cold weather, there are also two synthetic tubing hills near the park entrance—perfect for sledding or tubing during any season!

When temperatures heat up in Spanish Fork, Utah, Canyon View Park becomes a popular spot for summertime activities like fishing and swimming. The two fishing ponds are stocked with rainbow trout throughout spring and summer, so visitors can try their luck catching dinner while enjoying time surrounded by nature. Swimming is allowed in both ponds; remember to bring your life jacket! To cool off even further on hot days, there’s also a splash pad near one of the playgrounds that kids will love!

Canyon View Park hosts many annual events, such as Easter egg hunts, Fourth of July celebrations, car shows, and more! The park also hosts regular exercise classes like yoga and Zumba and special events like movie nights under the stars. For those looking for something more educational, there are frequent nature walks led by rangers from the nearby Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. No matter what you’re looking for in terms of entertainment or relaxation—Canyon View has something for everyone!
