SelectHealth Physical Activity Reward: The Best Way to Get Rewarded for Getting Fit
Everyone knows that exercise is good for you. But sometimes it can be hard to find the motivation to get up and move your body. That’s why we’re introducing our SelectHealth Physical Activity Rewards program. Now, every time you come in for a workout, you’ll earn points that you can redeem for great prizes. Keep reading to learn more about how the program works.
Who’s eligible?
In Utah and Nevada, SelectHealth members must be on a Small Employer plan (50 or fewer employees) or an Individual and Family plan. In Idaho, SelectHealth members must be on a Large Employer (51 or more employees), Small Employer (50 or fewer employees), or an Individual and Family plan. Eligible members must be age 18 or older and must accept the Utah/Idaho Terms and Conditions or the Nevada Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions. Each eligible member must register for their own selecthealth.org account.

How do I get the SelectHealth Physical Activity Reward?
- If you don’t have one, create a SelectHealth account and log in. You’ll land on the SelectHealth Dashboard. Scroll down the Dashboard to your Member Checklist and accept the Utah/Idaho Program Terms and Conditions or the Nevada Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions.
- Select Membership Rewards from your Member Checklist. From the screen that appears, select Sign Up & Track Steps to create a Virgin Pulse account. You may need to wait 24-48 hours after you’ve registered for your SelectHealth account to create a Virgin Pulse account.
- Download the Virgin Pulse app from either the App Store or Google Play. Remember you can’t create a Virgin Pulse account using the app. You must create an account using your SelectHealth account via your Member Checklist.
- Once logged in to the Virgin Pulse website, choose 7000 Steps for 20 Days in a Calendar Month. Use a smartphone or fitness tracker to enter your steps with the Virgin Pulse Stats tool. Or, convert your choice of exercise, like biking to steps, with the Add a Workout feature.
- Each calendar month complete 20 days or more of 7,000 steps or the equivalent in non-stepping exercise to earn reward points towards the 7K Steps for 20 Days Trophy. To make sure that your activity is credited towards your 7K Steps Reward, open the Virgin Pulse website or the app weekly.
- To redeem your reward points, log in to selecthealth.org. Find your Member Checklist and select Progress Tracking & Rewards. This will take you to the Rewards Homepage where you’ll select Redeem Rewards. This will link you to the Rewards Search Catalog where you can redeem your points for rewards equal in dollar value to your points total. To receive your reward points, there must be 20 days left in the calendar month and you must complete tracking your steps or their equivalent by the end of that calendar month. Also, you must wait at least until the following month to redeem your reward points for the previous month.
To receive credit for Physical Activity Rewards, all completed activities eligible for reward points/dollars must be entered on your selecthealth.org account by December 21st end of the business day (MST). This includes gym information as well as activity tracking data submitted to Virgin Pulse.
Reward points accumulate from January through December, resetting in January of each calendar year. You don’t have to redeem your reward points monthly. You can save your points and redeem them for gift card(s) in larger amounts. If you miss the December 21st Reward Points Redemption Deadline or have unredeemed points at the end of 2022, you’ll be sent a Visa gift card(s) totaling their value.
